Expression of Interest process for Inclusionary Planning Pilot Program
We’re committed to a fair and sustainable housing system that ensures better housing outcomes both now and for future generations.
The Inclusionary Planning Pilot Program (IPP Program) is an initiative under the Homes for Queenslanders plan to help developers, the community, and councils understand how different inclusionary planning models can work in practice. This initiative supports the Homes for Queenslanders plan’s commitment to build more homes, faster.
The IPP Program will be led by the State Facilitated Development (SFD) Team. They will speed up the planning and development process and solve development and infrastructure issues that delay new homes.
The IPP Program will partner with developers, builders, housing providers and councils to identify and deliver 5 new pilot projects to demonstrate the delivery of innovative and affordable housing solutions. The pilot projects will aim for around 20% affordable housing products by using various incentives such as density bonuses and alternative car parking rates to test the commerciality of different models.
The pilot projects will benefit from a streamlined approval pathway led by the SFD Team.
